The Akkadians were seen as the invaders of Mesopotamia. This empire was more aggressive and prone to wars and conflicts. The most known king, Sargon, almost conquered the entire territory of Mesopotamia. This empire is also one of the first to use the burnt lands tactic, which consists of burning then entire land they conquered to ensure no one would try to occupy it afterwards.
