Natios TCG just gained a much wider battlefield. With Duals in the Sands, the game adds three new factions, expands several existing decks, and gives Biblical decks two dramatic new Governors. That is a lot for one set to carry, but the theme is clear: faith, empire, sacrifice, and survival are all colliding in the desert.

This release's main focus are the 3 new factions it brings. The Canaanites are a dangerous force to face because of their will to gain everything through sacrifices. The Assyrians were a brutal conquering Empire and they are the first to bring Iron Weaponry to Assyria. The Ancient Israelites are the healers of Faith and as a sub faction from the Biblical Protagonism faction, they bring Prophets, defense and peace to the table. We do not forget our other factions from older set so, at the same time, Philistines and Mesopotamian Demons receive more support, which should help older strategies keep up with the new factions.

The Canaanites turn sacrifice into strength

The Canaanites look like one of the most dangerous additions in Duals in the Sands because their core identity comes with a cost. Sacrificial powers usually create tense choices. A player may give up board presence or resources to gain a stronger effect later.

That kind of faction can be hard to master, but rewarding. Sacrifice mechanics often suit players who like risk, timing, and pressure. The best turns are rarely obvious. Do you spend a small unit now to pay for something bigger? Do you lose you precious cards to remove an enemy threat? Do you hold back until the opponent commits?

This faction's heroes are those of a darker style. King Abibaal gives the Canaanites a royal centre point, while Moloch, Astare, and Baal bring a feared religious weight to the faction.

A Canaanite deck will likely appeal to players who enjoy:

  • Trading short-term safety for long-term advantage

  • Triggering effects when cards are sacrificed

  • Forcing opponents to answer threats before they grow too large

The Assyrians bring weapons and conquest

The Assyrians enter Natios TCG as a warlike empire, and that gives them a very clear role. This faction sounds built for direct pressure, strong weapons, and leaders who reward force. Where the Canaanites may ask players to make risky exchanges, the Assyrians seem more likely to win through strength on the board.

Their theme fits a deck that wants to attack early and keep attacking. Strong soldiers and weapons can easily become overwhelming for your opponent. A unit that looks manageable can become a problem once equipped. A leader who already hits hard can become a finisher if the weapon support is strong enough.

King Ashurbanipal gives the faction a major figure to build around. This Governor's ability is not weak during any age and is ready to put pressure at the beginning of the game.

Assyrian decks may become a natural home for players who like:

  • Weapon-based combat

  • Aggressive board control

  • Strong kings and military units

The Ancient Israelites focus on HP gain and spiritual staying power

The Ancient Israelites offer a sharp contrast to the Canaanites and Assyrians. Their strength appears to come from healing, endurance, peace and powerful sacred figures.

The Ancient Israelites bring major figures such as the son of God, Jesus and the slayer of Goliath, King David. That creates a faction with both spiritual power and royal authority. King David is a symbol of leadership, courage, and battle presence while Jesus brings a unique play style and win condition especially for Christian-themed decks that frame him as central to salvation.

Handled well, this faction can become more than a wall of HP. It can be a deck that survives pressure, turns healing into advantage, and wins through patient momentum.

Ancient Israelite decks may favour:

  • Healing and HP gain

  • Prophets and kings with high-impact abilities

  • Long games where survival matters

  • Comeback turns after absorbing damage

Older factions still get important support

This set also revisits old friends and ancient foes. Philistines and Mesopotamian Demons receive new and strong support, making them full fledge factions.

New Governors raise the stakes for Biblical decks

Biblical decks are the bigger factions of Natios, before leaving them alone, we wanted to give them access to new resource types, hence why they 2 new Governors with The Son, who Died for our Sins, which represents Jesus in his Lamb form and The Antichrist, who bears the meaning of 666.

That contrast gives the set its biggest thematic conflict. It is not only Canaanites against Israelites or Assyrians against Philistines. It is also light against darkness inside the larger Biblical card pool.
