The Sumerians were one of the first civilization in human history. They are known to have lived in Mesopotamia and to have governed the entire territory. The Sumerians were once a powerful civilization with an advanced knowledge in resource production and trading. The Sumerians believed in a plethora of Gods and mythical creatures and they kept faith close to their way of living. Sumerian traders were spread in a lot of cities, giving them to ability to gather resources from everywhere. One of the first written epic, The Epic of Gilgamesh, explains the origin of the world and had lay down the basis for every incoming mythologies.
